Strategy

“Moving Knowledge” is the guiding motto of Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg and frames its future development. The four strategic action areas – People, Education, Research, and Outreach (P-E-R-O) – define the central priorities and provide orientation for individual goals. They shape planning processes in faculties, administration, and university leadership. In addition, the cross-cutting themes of equal opportunity, internationalization, sustainability, and digitalization connect all areas and, together with the four action fields, form the thematic framework for FAU’s development.
